The fried tofu pockets (Inari) are a popular Japanese specialty and come ready-prepared for filling. They are excellent for making classic Inari sushi, but can also be filled with vegetables, noodles, or other creative ingredients.

Preparation recommendation for Inari sushi (16 pieces)
- Cook 1½ cups of rice.
- Prepare a seasoning mixture from 2 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar, and ½ tsp salt.
- Add the mixture to the still warm rice and mix well.
- Form 16 small rice balls.
- Carefully open the tofu pockets and fill them with the rice balls.
Serving suggestions
In addition to classic Inari sushi, the tofu pockets can also be prepared with:
- crunchy vegetables,
- Japanese glass noodles,
- soba or somen noodles,
- salads or
- other savory fillings.
They are ideal as an appetizer, side dish, or part of a Japanese bento box.

Fried soybean paste, corn oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, firming agents (magnesium chloride, calcium chloride), sugar, soy sauce (soybeans, wheat, salt), salt, thickener (distarch phosphate), acidifier (malic acid).
